Our director’s main goal is to empower people who work here and love them well. We extend that empowerment to those who are in the process of trying to decide if our Gap Year Program is the best choice for them.
We want you to bring your best self to your interview. Often anxiety during an interview can hinder your best self from showing up.
We want you to feel confident and prepared, so we’re giving away 3 of our interview questions and 5 qualities we’re looking for while we interview,
no strings attached.

No problem! Neither had we…until we did. If you love Jesus, are ready to work really hard, and want to live in a Christ-centered community while growing deeper in your faith- you could be just the kind of person we’re looking for!

Once you complete your application and we think Heartland could be a great fit for you-we’ll send you an email asking you to choose an interview time (we interview over zoom).
Download our 3 interview questions above and feel prepared! We don’t try to scare or intimidate you, we just want to know you. Be yourself, take a deep breath and it will be awesome.
We will contact you within two weeks after the interview and let you know either way.

We get it, gap year programs can be a big step! We want you and those that support you to have all the answers you need to make a decision.
Luckily, we love emails, phone calls and even tours! We would love to talk with you or anyone else involved in the decision making process about any questions or reservations.
